CUPE 402 Mailing list
Dear CUPE 402 and CUPE 402-02 Members,
I hope this message finds you well. As we gear up for collective bargaining and other crucial initiatives, I am reaching out to emphasize the importance of enhancing our communication channels. We are initiating a drive to collect member information, particularly email addresses, to streamline this process and ensure that every member is informed and updated.
Why are member email addresses important?
1.) Efficient Communication: Email is a quick and efficient way to share important updates, announcements, newsletters, and surveys directly to your inbox. By providing your email address, you ensure that you stay informed about all union-related matters.
2.) Timely Updates: It's essential to keep you all informed about the latest developments and opportunities for input. Email enables us to communicate in real-time, ensuring that you have the information you need when you need it most.
3.) Bargaining Survey Distribution: As navigate towards negotiations, our team is reviewing and updating bargaining surveys. We are anticipating being able welcome everyone back in the fall with these and gather your valuable input on bargaining priorities and concerns. Your email address will enable us to reach you promptly and ensure that your voice is heard in this critical process.
4.) Confidentiality: Rest assured that your email address will be kept confidential and used solely for CUPE 402 communication purposes. We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining the integrity of our member database, and will not share with any other parties including the provincial and national branches of CUPE.
5.) Member Engagement: By providing your email address, you play an active role in strengthening our union and shaping its future direction. Your engagement is important in not only staying up-to-date, but also finding opportunities to participate.
The survey will also ask for some required information that would help us distribute specific information or solicit input by departments, employment status, or work site as needed. Additional optional fields are listed to help update existing records that may have changed since your first day with the City and may also assist us in reaching out rapidly if an emergency situation arises.
Your participation in this effort is greatly appreciated and will enable us to communicate more effectively and inclusively with all members.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Together, we can build a stronger, more responsive union that truly represents the interests of its members.
In Solidarity,
Monika Dean T.J. Tulloch
President Communications Officer
